Dr. Hersh is a foot and ankle surgeon providing top-level care for patients in Central Jersey for over 10 years. Specializing in conditions and injuries of the foot and ankle, he provides patients with accurate and efficient care needed to get back to quality living. He embraces the best in cutting-edge medical technology, using the most advanced and least invasive techniques to treat injuries and reduce recovery time. He is dual board certified in foot and reconstructive ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgeons as well as the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Franklin & Marshall College, Dr. Hersh received his medical degree at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. He then continued his training with a reconstructive foot and ankle surgical residency at Aria Health (now Jefferson Health) in Philadelphia. Dr. Hersh treats numerous problems including foot & ankle sprains/tears, foot and ankle fractures, bunions & hammertoes, diabetic care and reconstruction, as well as heel pain/spurs, plantar fasciitis, and Achilles tendinitis. He is also trained in ankle joint arthroscopy. In addition to be on staff at most of the surrounding hospitals, he also treats patients at the Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Oxygen at Bayshore Medical Center where he specialized in limb salvage. Dr. Hersh believes in the importance of a healthy doctor-patient relationship for achieving optimal results. He takes time to talk patients through their injury or problem and often can identify a conservative treatment plan. When surgery is needed, Dr. Hersh is trained in the latest and least invasive surgical techniques. Additionally, as a former athlete, Dr. Hersh understands the importance of efficient and accurate treatment of sports injuries and strives to get athletes back to a competitive level quickly.
