Charles B. Daknis, M.D.

Dr. Charles Daknis developed and directed the Interventional Pain Management program at St Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He received his fellowship training at the world-renowned Harvard University Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Dr. Daknis has been recognized for excellence throughout his training and career. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, he graduated at the top of his class at Drexel University’s Hahnemann School of Medicine.

While at Drexel he received the Nelson Neurosurgical award for excellence in the study of Neurosciences and was appointed as a delegate to the National Institutes of Health for Neuroscience research.

Dr. Daknis is a published author in multiple peer-reviewed journals.  He has authored book chapters on pain management and the treatment of various painful disorders. Dr. Daknis has a special interest in disorders of the cervical spine (neck).  His research has focused on this interest.  Dr. Daknis has a great interest in providing care to those who need it most and in helping the local community.  He helped to develop a medical clinic in Haiti after the earthquake and supports Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Ocean and Monmouth counties. Dr. Daknis offers regenerative non-operative alternatives for disc and low back pain.
