After graduating Summa Cum Laude from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Dr. Daknis graduated at the top of his class at Drexel University’s Hahnemann School of Medicine. While at Drexel, he received the prestigious Nelson Neurosurgical Award for excellence in the study of Neurosciences and was appointed as a delegate to the National Institutes of Health for neuroscience research.
A published author in multiple peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Daknis has also authored book chapters on pain management and the treatment of various painful disorders. His research and clinical focus include a special interest in disorders of the cervical spine (neck). Dr. Daknis is dedicated to providing compassionate care to those in need and to supporting his local community. He helped establish a medical clinic in Haiti after the earthquake and actively supports Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Ocean and Monmouth counties.
In addition, Dr. Daknis offers regenerative, non-operative alternatives for disc and low back pain, expanding his commitment to improving patient outcomes with advanced, minimally invasive options.
