Sunil Thacker, M.D., F.A.A.O.S.

For 10 years in a row Dr. Thacker was chosen by his peers as one of New Jersey Monthly Magazine’s “Top Docs” and was presented with the honor of being on the cover of the magazine in 2023. In addition, Dr. Thacker is a reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine where he helps determine which articles are eligible for publication. Dr. Thacker is currently a senior partner at Seaview Orthopedics in the Sports Medicine Division.

Dr. Thacker focuses on joint preservation in active adults and has advanced surgical training of the shoulder and knee. For the shoulder, he performs numerous arthroscopic and open procedures such as rotator cuff repairs, superior capsular reconstructions, Bankart and remplissage procedures for instability, AC joint repairs for dislocations, internal fixations for clavicle and proximal humerus fractures, and both anatomic and reverse total shoulder replacements. For the knee, he performs complex procedures including but not limited to ACL, PCL, LCL, and MCL reconstructions, BEAR ACL repairs, all inside meniscus repairs, quadriceps tendon autografts and all anterolateral ligaments reconstructions, and total and partial knee replacements. Dr. Thacker also offers platelet rich plasma (PRP) and mesenchymal stem cell injections for various musculoskeletal injuries and osteoarthritis.

Dr. Thacker has exceptional experience and the privilege of caring for numerous pro athletes, law enforcement officers, and fellow doctors. Dr. Thacker currently sees patients at the Seaview Orthopedics Monroe (Middlesex County) and Freehold (Monmouth County) offices.
