Bio
Dr. Gower is originally from Northeast Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and Georgetown University School of Medicine. He received his Orthopaedic Residency training at Monmouth Medical Center and then went on to complete a fellowship in Hand Surgery at NYU/Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City.
Prior to joining Seaview Orthopaedic & Medical Associates, Dr. Gower served proudly in the United States Air Force. He is a veteran of four deployments, having performed surgery in a combat theater in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He was the Chief of the Orthopedic Clinic at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany and served as the Orthopedic Consultant to the Air Force Surgeon General while on staff at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio.
Dr. Gower specializes in treatment of the hand/wrist/elbow and upper extremity. He tailors treatment individually to each patient, with a deep respect to their wishes and goals. He is skilled in the operative and nonoperative management of Orthopaedic conditions and will help guide his patients to the best path to maximize their healing potential. Dr. Gower is an expert at treating dupuytren disease with xiaflex injections, a medication that’s used as an alternative to extensive open surgical treatment.
Dr. Gower resides on the Jersey Shore with his wife and 3 children. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching/listening to the Yankees, and surf fishing.
