“Dear Dr. Debkowska:

I am writing this letter in gratitude for the amazing care you provided when I suffered
from a jammed finger over two years ago. Not sure if you remember, but when I first came and asked if this would affect my ability to do things in any way, you said something like, “No, unless of course you are a concert pianist’ to which I responded, “but I am a concert pianist.” We had a good laugh about that, me sharing that I went to Juilliard and was trained to be a concert pianist, and you clearly having an understanding and affinity for piano and classical music.

Your care was steady, intelligent, empathetic, strong, and clear. I credit you with what wound up being a phenomenal outcome. I’ve enclosed pictures of how my finger – middle finger/left hand – healed. Though you cautioned me to be realistic, that my finger will likely heal with a bit of a curve, it is now straight, and strong, with the photos truly not doing it justice.

You consistently provided the highest level of excellence, respect, and kindness in all our interactions, which encouraged me to be 100% compliant. It certainly paid off! I’ll never be able to thank you enough for the way in which you guided and supported my recovery. It has left me with no issues, totally able to continue to enjoy playing piano, using my hand as if none of it ever happened. I’m sorry it took so long for me to share this with you – life always getting in the way –  but glad to share it with you at long last, wishing you only the best, with eternal gratitude for the care you provided.
