Bio
Dr. Julian Zangrilli is a fellowship-trained orthopedic joint replacement surgeon from Bordentown, New Jersey. After graduating with honors from James Madison University, he received his medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. Following medical school, he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Jefferson Health New Jersey. During his 5-year orthopedic residency program, Dr. Zangrilli was exposed to all facets of orthopedic care and treatment, including six months of training at the Nemours Children’s Hospital of Delaware for pediatric orthopedics and another six months at Cooper University Hospital for orthopedic trauma.
Dr. Zangrilli is passionate about treating hip and knee arthritis and pursued further training after residency by completing a one-year fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
During fellowship, he was trained in the latest techniques in total joint replacement of the hip and knee. His training included primary joint replacement, revision joint replacement, minimally invasive hip and knee replacement, direct anterior approach to the hip, partial knee replacement, and robotic surgery including certifications in the CORI Surgical System and MAKO Robotic-Arm Assisted Joint Replacement.
Dr. Zangrilli is involved in orthopedic research and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in major orthopedic journals. Dr. Zangrilli enjoys spending time with his family, golf, attending Yankee and Giants games, cooking and traveling.
