Suleiman Sudah, M.D.

Bio

Suleiman Sudah, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and scapula disorders.

Dr. Sudah graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dickinson College, where he was a two-time NCAA Division III All-American and lacrosse team captain. He earned his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in recognition of academic excellence.

He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Monmouth Medical Center, where he authored more than 90 peer-reviewed scientific publications, received multiple research awards, and presented his work nationally. He then completed advanced fellowship training at Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital, where he trained with internationally recognized leaders in shoulder surgery, complemented by a traveling fellowship in Antwerp, Belgium, focused on advanced elbow surgery and upper extremity reconstruction.

Dr. Sudah treats both common and complex shoulder conditions using arthroscopic and open surgical techniques. His expertise includes shoulder replacement, tendon transfers, rotator cuff surgery, shoulder instability, and complex reconstruction, including cases involving failed prior surgery. He has specialized training in scapular disorders and nerve-related shoulder dysfunction, including conditions that can be difficult to diagnose and are often under-recognized.

As a former collegiate athlete, Dr. Sudah understands the commitment required to recover from injury and return to an active lifestyle. He treats competitive athletes, active adults, and patients seeking relief from chronic pain, with an emphasis on careful diagnosis and individualized treatment.

After years of training at leading institutions, Dr. Sudah returned to his native New Jersey to provide exceptional shoulder and upper extremity care close to home, in the community that shaped him, while contributing to the education and mentorship of future orthopaedic surgeons.
