Dr. Shruti Shah is a highly qualified Board Certified Anesthesiologist and Interventional Pain Management specialist with over 2 decades of experience. She completed her residency in Anesthesiology initially from University of Mumbai in 1997. She then went to London and further specialized at the University College of London Program. In 2003 she continued her specialization initially with Dr Admir Hadzic at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, Columbia University , New York as a research fellow in Regional Anesthesia. In 2005 she started at Rutgers- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and after completing her Anesthesiology Boards and fellowship in Pain Management, she became a faculty there.
Throughout her practice, Dr. Shah has treated numerous conditions, including acute and chronic neck pain, low back pain, headaches, neuropathy, arthritis pain, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, and sports injuries. Her approach to patient care emphasizes improving the quality of life by employing a combination of traditional and alternative methods.
Dr. Shah is proficient in various Interventional Pain Procedures, including Epidural steroid injections, Facet Injections, radio-frequency ablations, spinal cord stimulators, Peripheral Nerve Stimulators, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections (regenerative medicine), joint injections, and botox injections.
Her expertise is recognized and acknowledged, as she holds dual certifications in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine through the American Board of Anesthesiology. Throughout her career she has been prolific in teaching, research and presented and published in various National and International meetings over the last two decades and wrote textbook chapters. She also volunteers in annual medical mission international trips since 2009. She is very well known amongst her patients and their families, hospital staff, colleagues as a caring, loving, and empathetic physician.
